By bus
Avanza runs the Costa del Sol coach through Marbella in both directions, several dozen departures a day between Malaga and Algeciras. From Malaga's bus station the ordinary fare to Marbella is €7.63 one way, €7.82 on the faster Directo service; the first coach leaves Malaga at 05:05 and the last at 23:00, arriving Marbella at 23:45. Marbella bus station
The station sits on Avenida del Trapiche, s/n, on the north side of town just off the A-7. Every Avanza coastal and long-distance service calls here, plus the local Urbanos de Marbella city buses. Parking right at the station is free: 93 open-air spaces, two of them reserved for reduced mobility.
By taxi
Airport taxis run on the meter against Malaga Airport's own regulated fare table, which already includes the flat airport supplement. Rate 1, Monday to Friday daytime, prices the 60km run to Marbella at €70. Rate 2, Monday to Friday from 10pm to 6am and all day on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, prices the same run at €81.

By car
Two roads run the coast: the toll AP-7 and the free A-7 alongside it. A car pays €5.70 to take the AP-7 from Malaga to Marbella most of the year, rising to €9.25 in high season, which the concessionaire defines as June to September plus 17 days around Easter. The A-7 covers the same ground free, at a lower speed limit.
