Places

The school does not publish a fixed total capacity. Its own FAQ says it tries to offer every applicant a place, and that a class is full once it reaches roughly 20 students, so the real constraint is per class, not one number for the whole school.

A third campus is coming

Marbella council has opened the public procedure to hand over municipal land for a new Swedish school: four plots in Lomas del Virrey, north of Puente Romano, construction estimated at €14.94m, and the company behind it described as "linked to the existing Swedish school in Nueva Andalucia." Building hasn't started; there's no fee page yet. Reported by Euro Weekly News, 18 May 2026

Questions

Is there a Swedish school in Marbella?

Yes: Svenska Skolan Marbella, in Nueva Andalucía above Puerto Banús, teaches förskola through grade 6 on site in Swedish, then grade 7 and up through Sofia Distans and Hermods with an on-site tutor. Fees and admission rules above are read from the school's own site, 20 August 2026.

What if I want a full Swedish gymnasium diploma on this coast?

Nueva Andalucía's campus hands off to online programmes from grade 7. For a full on-site run through to a Swedish gymnasium diploma, the option here is Svenska Skolan Costa del Sol in Fuengirola, about 30km up the AP-7 and the older, bigger of the two.

Is a place guaranteed once I apply?

No, at either school. Both say directly on their own sites that they place students as space allows rather than guaranteeing a seat: Nueva Andalucía caps classes at roughly 20 students, Fuengirola runs 10 to 30 depending on the grade.

Do the fees above include everything?

They're the figures each school publishes on its own fees page as of 20 August 2026: tuition, enrolment fees and the discounts each school states. Neither publishes a price list for extras like uniforms or trips, so ask the school directly for those.

Method

Both schools are Swedish-curriculum institutions with their own official site. Every fee figure and every places/admission figure above is read directly off that site, on the date shown; nothing here comes from a schools directory, a forum thread or a Facebook group.
