Sunbed Index: the methodology
As of 11 August 2026, the Marbella Wire Sunbed Index tracks 7 published prices, with 4 more left out and named.
What this index measures, where every price comes from, and what it deliberately leaves out. Built to be cited, not just read.

What was measured
The Sunbed Index tracks one published price per row for 2026: 7 rows carry a price, read off the source's own page and dated. It is a census of what is publicly priced, not a survey of what people pay.
Sample
7 published prices as of 11 August 2026, plus 4 rows deliberately left out of the count.
Sources
Every price is read off the venue or operator's own published menu, rate card or booking page, on the date above. Sources are linked beside each row on the index itself, never republished here: marbellawire.com/prices/sunbeds/.
Exclusions
4 rows are named on the index page with the reason they carry no price: a menu with no published prices, or a card that does not sell the item this index tracks. A missing price is recorded as missing, never estimated.
Re-check cadence
Re-read at the start of each season and whenever a source changes its published price; the date above is the last confirmed read, not a fixed schedule.
Known limits
A single dated read of a public menu, not a survey and not an average of what people actually pay: portion size, off-menu specials and short-lived promotions are outside its scope. Numbers move when the source's own page moves; nothing here is adjusted for that until the next read.
