Aloha College Marbella

Aloha College sits above Puerto Banús in Nueva Andalucía and is the coast's best-known name in the search box: more people look for the school by name than look for 'international school Marbella' at all. It is a not-for-profit foundation, teaches the English curriculum to 16 and then offers either A Levels or the IB diploma.

Deutsche Schule Málaga (Colegio Alemán)

The German school is the oldest institution on this page by eighty years, founded in 1898 and now up in La Mairena above Elviria, technically in Ojén. It leads to the Abitur, takes children into Kindergarten with no German, and publishes its fee schedule as a PDF.

How many international schools are there in Marbella?

Counting the municipality plus San Pedro, Elviria and the two neighbours people actually drive to, 12: five British-curriculum schools, one German, one French primary, one full IB school in Sotogrande and four Spanish-bilingual schools with IB or Cambridge add-ons. The Swedish school makes it one more, on its own page.

How much do international schools in Marbella cost?

Almost none of them will tell you on a web page. As of 4 September 2026, Sotogrande International School prints its two registration fees and links tuition as a PDF; Aloha College and the Deutsche Schule publish PDF fee schedules; the rest send you to admissions. This page links every brochure and transcribes none, so the answer is on each school's card, and it is mostly a link.

Which schools offer the IB diploma?

Aloha College and Swans offer it in sixth form after a British route to 16; Sotogrande International School runs the whole IB continuum; Atalaya in Estepona offers the Diploma on a Spanish bilingual base; Ecos is authorised for the Primary and middle years programmes and lists itself as a Diploma candidate.

Is there a French or German school in Marbella?

Both. The Deutsche Schule Málaga, founded in 1898, is in La Mairena above Elviria and leads to the Abitur. The École Française Internationale de Marbella is homologated by the French ministry but runs primary only, to CM2.

Which schools follow the Spanish system?

Laude San Pedro offers it as one of two tracks alongside the British one; Colegio Alborán, Ecos and Atalaya are Spanish-system bilingual schools, the last two with IB programmes on top. All of them prepare pupils for the Spanish university entrance exam.
