What Marbella actually costs
This coast doesn't publish its own numbers, so we do. Below is what a sunbed costs, what lunch on the sand costs, what a beach-club day costs, and what a home is asking for, each figure read off a venue's own rate card, menu or public register, not guessed, added up in one page. What we haven't priced yet is listed too.
Compiled 20 August 2026 from four datasets we maintain ourselves, each sourced and dated on its own page below.
What this page doesn't cover
Groceries, utilities, private-school fees, healthcare, salaries. We publish a figure once we can read it off a venue's own rate card, menu or a public register, the way the four above are sourced, and not before. That's a gap in our own reporting, not a claim that those costs don't matter. Rent left this list in August 2026: it now has its own page, rent, indexed by area, built on the ministry's tax-data medians and the portal's per-zone asking figures.
Questions
Is Marbella expensive?
For the four things we've actually priced, yes, and unevenly: a sunbed alone runs from free at the public beach to €300 at the priciest club we track, and the same espeto skewer costs €4 at one chiringuito and €28 at another. Rent we now index separately (rent, indexed by area); groceries and salaries we still don't price, so this isn't a verdict on daily life, only on a day out.
What does a sunbed cost in Marbella?
Two sunbeds plus the venue's minimum spend average €131 across the 7 clubs we track for the Sunbed Index, weekday, 2026 high season. The cheapest tracked club, La Sala by the Sea, is €40; the dearest, Ocean Club, is €300. The public beach next door stays free.
How much is lunch on the beach in Marbella?
Espeto de sardinas, the grilled-sardine skewer that's the standard order at a chiringuito, runs €4 to €28 across the 11 of 43 counted chiringuitos with an espeto price read off the menu.
What does a beach club day cost in Marbella?
Across the 10 beach clubs that publish a rate, of 14 on our census, a sunbed alone starts at €15 and reaches €300 before a drink arrives, and several clubs add a minimum spend on top of that.
How much does property cost in Marbella?
At the very top of the market, the only band our own research pool covers, 1,403 homes asking €3,000,000 or more had a median asking price of €4.90M (€9,436 per m²) as of 30 July 2026. That's a floor, not a typical home, and an asking price, not a sale price.
What isn't covered here?
Groceries, utilities, private-school fees, healthcare and salaries. We publish a figure once we can read it off a venue's own rate card, menu or a public register, the way the numbers above are sourced, and not before. Rent has its own page now: rent, indexed by area.
Marbella prices, in one line: a sunbed averages €131, the same espeto skewer runs €4 to €28 depending on the chiringuito, a beach-club sunbed alone reaches €300, and property at the very top of the market has a median asking price of €4.90M. Every figure sourced and dated on its own page.
